The Project

Born from the Corals. Shaped by Nature.

Coral Coves emerges from its surroundings rather than replacing them. Inspired by the natural topography of the land and the organic forms of the coral reef, its architecture follows the rhythm of the landscape.

The Idea

Here, nothing stands apart. Everything blends in.

Expansive open spaces, earthy textures, and thoughtfully integrated design allow the beauty of the environment to shape everyday living.

At Coral Coves, nature isn’t an amenity — it is the experience, taking centre stage in a community where every home feels deeply connected to its setting. The scheme steps back up the site’s natural gradient rather than cutting into it, so each row looks over the one below towards open water.

The Architecture

A material language drawn from the reef

Elevation of Coral Apartments B6 — stepped terracotta volumes with vertical fluting, perforated screen blocks and deep balconies
  1. 1Rammed-earth tones taken from the site's own ochre geology, so the buildings read as part of the ground rather than objects placed on it.
  2. 2Vertical fluting and perforated screen blocks that break the sun, move air, and echo the branching structure of coral.
  3. 3Deep-set balconies and terraces on every apartment, shading the glazing behind them through the hottest part of the day.

The Setting

Life in Corals

Coral Coves sits within Somabay — a private peninsula with eleven kilometres of its own coastline, a championship golf course, a marina and one of the largest thalasso centres in the region.
